Steve Martel is passionate about social entrepreneurship. He defines true business innovation broadly as change for the better. Steve believes entrepreneurs are central to driving that vision forward. That’s why he builds his own business models to create social impact that benefits others and continues to work with entrepreneurs who are building better products, services and technologies to make lives easier, happier and more comfortable.
But that’s just the start of it.
Inspired by the ideas of his friend Sir Richard Branson, Steve is an active socially conscious entrepreneur. Socially conscious entrepreneurs are the innovators who goes even further, taking on thorny social challenges to build business models that service the social good. These are the innovators who refuse to wait for governments or charities to step in and fix things.
As part of the social conscious entrepreneur global movement, Steve strives to combine his passion for innovation with social missions. Some of Steve’s social entrepreneurship ventures take the form of for-profit businesses, others as nonprofits – all are based on the simple truth that entrepreneurs impact social reality.
From his charitable foundation that builds sustainable villages and homes in Haitian villages and donations for Ottawa’s Youville Centre for new, young mothers and continuous self-help to entrepreneurship training and real estate wealth programs, Steve’s ventures are designed to continuously drive forward solutions with a positive social impact.
